Tom Hoag, 64 of Kansas City, KS passed away on February 9, 2018 after year-long illness. 

He grew up in Sioux City, IA joining the U.S. Army after high school.  He was honorably discharged in 1974 and moved to the Kansas City, KS area shortly after.  He enjoyed many years of truck driving and had recently retired.

Tom married Carol Day in 1983 and together they made their home in Kansas City, KS.  Tom enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, and visiting with friends.  He loved his old Coonhound, Maddie. 

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Carol; daughters Faith (Phillip) Campbell and Desiree (Damyon) Andersen; grand-children Michael (Holly) Monroe, Makayla Robb, Zoe Andersen, Wesley Andersen and great-grandchildren; Erica, Emily, Jax, Sky, Asa, Ben Zee and Oak.  He will also be missed by his brothers Dan (Charlotte) Hoag and John (Judy) Hoag and his sister, Copper Cole, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Alma Hoag; two brothers Kenneth and Russell and a sister, Beverly Grauf, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Services will be Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Way of Life Fellowship, 2626 S. 65th, Kansas City, KS 66106. Visitation at 11 am, with service at noon.  Burial at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
