Bonnie Ilene (Cook) Johnson, Kansas City, died December 15, 2018, at Northcare Hospice House in North Kansas City. Bonnie requested that a private graveside burial be held at Lockwood, Missouri, next to her deceased husband, Terryl F. Johnson, who died December 10, 1995. Bonnie was born April 29, 1927, in Brookhaven, Georgia, the daughter of Mary (Allenbrand) and Clifford
Cook. She left Georgia as a baby and resided in Missouri until her death. She was in the secretarial profession for 27 years and had been active in the International
Secretaries Association, Westport Chapter. She attended Union College, Lincoln, Nebraska, for two years and later received an Associate in Arts Degree at Maple Woods
Community College, Kansas City, Missouri.

Bonnie enjoyed volunteering at the North Kansas City Hospital and with Youth Friends in the North Kansas City School district. She was a member of the Parents’ Association of Higginsville Rehabilitation Center, Congress of Advocates for the Retarded, Inc., and the Community of the Good Shepherd. She leaves a daughter, Barbara James of Kansas City, Missouri, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Jimmy James, parents, brothers and sisters.

Bonnie had many friends that were always there for her and she enjoyed a very rewarding life.
