Janice grew up in Great Bend, KS, “one of six kids,” as she’d proudly say. Her parents and siblings were very special to her regardless of the road miles between. She married the love of her life, Lee, in 1969, and was a devoted, loving, and spirited wife for almost 50 years. Janice was beyond generous with her love, support, and encouragement for her children, Amy and Jason, and she welcomed daughter-in-law Carla with open arms. Her pride and joy for the last ten years has been her grandson, Dylan, and we are all grateful he had the chance to know her. She is also survived by brothers Jim Graf (Kathy), Tom Graf (Shyrlene), David Graf (Julie); sister-in-law Robbie Graf and brother-in-law Steve Bogart.

Janice’s love of travel led to many wonderful vacations with family and friends: from camping in national parks to cruises porting at her favorite beaches. She enjoyed learning, and often said she’d be a perpetual student if she could. She voraciously read books of all kinds, and she tackled crosswords and trivia faster than one could blink. Janice was a role model working full time as a corporate marketing and advertising writer and raising a family when doing so was still rare. Most importantly, she was always there for her loved ones—whenever they needed her, she offered support, encouragement, and a rose-colored version of the world.

With her sparkling blue eyes and lovely smile, Janice would bring light and life to any room she entered. We know she brings the same with her to heaven.
