JUDITH M. THURMAN

ON JUNE 15,2019 OUR LITTLE AUNT JUDY WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD. SHE WAS BORN IN ANDERSEN,
MO. JUNE 19, 1939 . SHE WAS 79. IT WAS AN EASY HOME GOING, SHE HAD VISITED WITH HER SISTER
PEARL FOR ABOUT AN HOUR, PEARL LEFT AND FIVE MINUTES LATER SHE TOOK HER LAST BREATH.
I KNOW JUDY WENT TO BE WITH ALICE AND DANNY HER FRIENDS FOR 50 YEARS. TWO DAYS BEFORE SHE
PASSED, JUDY SAID HELLO ALICE AND WAS LOOKING AT THE FOOT OF THE BED. I ASKED HER IF SHE
SEEN MAMA AND SHE SAID, YES AND I'M MAD AT HER FOR LEAVING ME!

JUDY WAS KNOWN TO MANY AS THE NACHO QUEEN. IT WAS NOTHING FOR US CHILDREN TO HAVE MANY FRIENDS OVER AND JUDY GRACIOUSLY MADE PLATES OF NACHOS FOR ALL. SHE RETIRED FROM AT&T AFTER 25 YEARS. SHE THEN WENT TO WORK FOR THE IRS. JUDY HAD A SERVANTS HEART. SHE CARED FOR DAN & ALICE FOR OVER 3 YEARS DURING THEIR ILLNESSES UNTIL THEIR PASSING. SHE LOVED ALL HER FAMILY AND SHE WAS OUR AUNT EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS NOT BIOLOGICAL. SHE WAS LITTLE BUT MIGHTY. SHE SERVED HER LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST ALL HER LIFE. SHE WAS DEDICATED TO HER CHURCH. HELPING WITH THE BAKE SALES FOR MISSIONS, MAKING TONS OF PEANUT BRITTLE, FLOWER CORSAGES AND NUMEROUS OTHER HOBBIES. SHE WILL BE MISSED AND WAS GREATLY LOVED. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HER AS THE ENERGIZER BUNNY. GOOD BYE FOR NOW, AUNT JUDY, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.

AND TO MY HUSBAND DAN DARNELL, WHO SAT FOR HOURS WITH HER, GIVING HER MEDICINES AND
COLD WATER, HOLDING HER HAND AND PRAYING WITH HER. COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT
YOU! LOVE YOU DAN. YOUR REWARD WILL BE GREAT.
SPECIAL THANKS TO DEBBIE LAWSON AND JAN JESTER WHO STOOD BY TO HELP US WITH NURSING
QUESTIONS, BATHING, COMFORT CARE AND MANY PRAYERS.
THANKS TO ALL HER FRIENDS AND CHURCH FAMILY WHO PRAYED AND VISITED HER IN THE HOSPITAL
AND AT THE HOME. SHE LOVED YOU ALL!
JUDY WAS SURVIVED BY ONE SISTER PEARL HOGAN, THREE BROTHERS, GORDAN SPENCER, DAVID
SPENCER, AND LARRY SPENCER AND MANY NIECES AND NEPHEWS.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE, 2:30 PM ON JUNE 25, 2019 AT MAPLE HILL CEMETERY, KANSAS CITY, KANSAS.
