Pamela (Pam) Marie Duensing, 61, passed away on August 22, 2019 at Olathe Health Hospice House. Prior to transferring to hospice, she received wonderful care at The University of Kansas Medical Center.

Pam was born in 1958 to Genevieve (Jenny) and Charles (Charlie) Sutryk in the Village of Bath, New York. In many ways, Pam still considered Bath her hometown. Her father grew up on a dairy farm in nearby Savona, New York. As he managed the farm, he also studied at St. Bonaventure University and became an oil and gas compressor engineer for Ingersoll-Rand, travelling all over the world. Over the years, Pam’s family lived in many different cities and several countries, including Venezuela and Poland. In 1969, they settled in Olathe, Kansas. After graduating from Olathe High School in 1976, Pam began working as a Planner at King Radio, which eventually became a part of Honeywell International Inc. She continued to work at the company until the last few weeks before she passed away.

Pam was a kind, generous, and selfless person who always thought of others before herself. She was a joy to be around and had a gift for seeing the best in everyone, regardless of their circumstances. Pam and her loving husband Henry (Hank) have been together for 42 years and have three daughters: Amber, Renae, and Danielle. Although her children say that Pam loved them all very much, they willingly admit that she loved her grandchildren, Daelyn, Rylin, Isaas, Alina, Ivee, Ajizion (AJ ), and great-grandchild, Leland, even more, always wanting to spend time with them so that she could hold them close to her on her lap.

Pam is survived by her husband, Hank; children, Amber (Isaac Finch), Renae, and Danielle (DeAndre Williams); grandchildren, Isaas, Alina, Ivee, AJ (Javier Damian), Daelyn, and Rylin; great-grandchild, Leland; brothers, Chuck Sutryk of Topeka, Kansas and Bob Sutryk of Mission, Kansas, and many other relatives, who send their condolences: Jan Beljan of West Palm Beach, Florida; Pat Beljan Ayers of Port St. Lucie, Florida; Willie Beljan of Lewisburg, West Virginia; Puggy Beljan of Manassas, Virginia; great aunt Mary Cramer (who will turn 100 years old this year) and her son Larry of State College, Pennsylvania; Jim and Sharon Saxe, and Barbara Wascovich of Horseheads, New York; and Pete and Adele Saxe of Deltona, Florida. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Jenny Sutryk; Jenny’s sisters, Delores, Frances, and Tory; Charlie’s brothers and sister, John, Kie, Mary, and Tony; and grandparents, Alex and Mary Sutryk and Joseph and Josephine Mastalski.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Olathe Community Center, Room A,1205 E Kansas City Rd, Olathe, KS 66061, Tuesday Septemper 10th, 2019, 12:00-2:00pm.

Tributes may be made in Pam’s honor to either the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Kansas Special Olympics.
