Brian Sexton, 58, of Lake Winnebago, Mo. passed away very unexpectedly Oct. 22, 2020. Brian was born on October 10, 1962 at St Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO to Betsy Lee Hesser and William Charles Sexton. Brian attended and graduated Hickman Mills schools in 1981. He was devastated when he lost his father, Bill, in February 1981. He attended Longview Community College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in 1984. Brian married his high school sweetheart Jill Thomsen in 1986. Brian spent his entire 36 year career working in the plumbing and plumbing fixtures industry. He loved his boss, Billy Welker and his wife, Lisa Welker, owners of B&L Plumbing, their kids, Jace, Josh and Dustin and his coworkers. They were just like family to him. He was a very kind hearted man who loved his boys, his wife, his mom, his sister, his animals, living at Lake Winnebago and Chiefs football.

He loved being The Captain and taking his friends and family for rides around the lake.
He let his wife adopt any stray animal she ever brought home and never once complained about it. Over their 34 year marriage, they adopted 15 homeless dogs and he loved them all to the end. He stopped on busy roads to move turtles out of harm's way. He never met a dog he didn't like. He was a foster and adoptive parent.

Brian was an organ donor, he had signed his donor card years ago because of a friend who needed a kidney and never got one. They said his donation would help a hundred and fifty people.

He loved his boys, Aaron and Vince, more than life himself.
He was thrilled to have a wonderful new daughter-in-law, Emma Lamberton Sexton. The proudest days of his life were when Aaron graduated from UCM with finance degree and when Vince became an A-10 mechanic and crew chief in the United States Air Force and served our country in Afghanistan. The world needs more husband's, dad's, son's and brother's like Brian.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jill Sexton, of the home , his son and daughter-in-law Aaron and Emma Sexton of Glendale, Colorado, Vince Sexton of Denver Colorado, his beloved mother Betsy Sexton of Lee's Summit, Missouri, his his sister Lori Markham and husband David of Lee's Summit, MO, and their children Gabrielle, Jackson (Madison) , Tanner and Olivia He is also survived by his amazing aunts Janice Bossing (Lewis Bossing) of Wilmington, NC and Vicky Bradford of Denver, Colorado, and 2 cousins, Lewis Bossing of Washington, DC, snd Bill Bossing (Meghan) of Raleigh-Durham NC. In lieu of flowers, he would have appreciated any donations to Wayside Waifs or any animal rescue charity of your choice.
