Joann Sirridge, 76, Basehor, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Joann was born February 22, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas to Roy and Rose Crowe.

She graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1963. Joann married James Sirridge in 1966. Due to James being in the Air Force, the couple moved to Dover, Delaware. In 1968, Jim and Joann returned and resided in Kansas City, Kansas. Joann worked as an administrative assistant for more than forty years and was a devoted parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was an active member of the St. Anthony Alter Society.

As a lover of life, she enjoyed traveling with friends and family as well as staying busy with many hobbies. Joann’s biggest joy in life was becoming a grandmother. From sleepovers, to baking cookies, playing games, reading stories and attending their activities she loved spending time with every grandchild and was each one’s biggest supporter.

Joann is survived by her husband James (Basehor, KS). The couple had just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. She is also survived by her children and their spouses: Janet and Doug Stalcup, Basehor, KS, Matthew and Anh Sirridge, Lenexa, KS, Jenny and Todd Nicholson, Linwood, KS. Six grandchildren: Brett Stalcup, Ryan Stalcup, Sarah Stalcup, Katie Sirridge, Luke Nicholson and Nate Nicholson. Two sisters: Mary Alice Worth and Kathy Foster. She is preceded in death by her two brothers Michael and Gerald Crowe.

A private family inurnment will be held at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Kansas City, KS.
