Franklin Paul Stimac was born in Kansas City , Kansas on April 11, 1982 to Frank Stimac & Dianna L. Stimac (Johnson). Franklin was the youngest of three children and attended school in the Turner district. Franklin was a father to Mackenzie Stimac 17, and Max Stimac 10, Franklin worked with our dad as a painter when he was young. Franklin lived among the people in the downtown area homeless from 18-39 yrs old and that is the life he loved. He acquired an apartment in November of 2021 with the help of Nick his case manager at Crosslines. Franklin was so proud of himself for this accomplishment. My brother had the biggest heart and took care of everyone he came in contact with even if it was his last. He was a devoted Christian and he carried his faith with him daily. I remember at times when I would ask him , Frankie how do you manage to live on the streets like you do? His reply every time was Jesus will never leave me and I trust in him. He was always right. I’m gonna miss your calls and surprise visits.

May you Rest In Peace

ROSE MARY CLEM

Sunrise: January 20, 1934

Sunset: May 14, 2022

Rose Mary Jarnovich Clem was born on Strawberry Hill to Stanley and Anna Jarnovich. Friends and family loved her and handed out numerous endearing nicknames shared here.
Always a proud Catholic Croatian, Rose Bush loved her sarma and poviticia. She grew up in St. Anthony’s parish and graduated from Ward High School in 1952.

In 1951, Rosie met the love of her life, Billy Clem. She always said the Armourdale flood washed Billy up to her front porch. Billy & The Bush dated for four years and got married right after Rosie graduated from Ward. They settled in Turner and had three children Martin, Mitchell and Kimberly. Rosie took great pride in running the show and her “Cubs” all over town.

She beamed at being Billy’s wife as he dominated wheelchair basketball all the way to the Hall of Fame. Billy & Rosie were married 63 years until his passing in 2015. At that point, Rose Mary decided that life was short. She play hard and lived life to the fullest. She was known as a “frequent flyer” at Longhorn Steakhouse, Johnny’s Tavern, IHOP, J. Alexander’s, Cascone's, and Olive Garden.

She made friends wherever she went and would shut the bar down on a school night. If you dined with her, you knew she was fussy with her food and drink orders: Seared-not-grilled chicken, salmon, or chopped steak. Bring out half the desert with dinner. Put the other half in a to-go box.
Rosie also loved to dance. She would break out her (Hunky) moves at the Croatian Festival, Polski Days, parties, weddings and pretty much anywhere music played.

She recently pulled an all-nighter on a party bus. She named her car “Marilyn.” And some called her “Hollywood” because of the huge sunglasses she wore day *and* night. Outside *and* inside.
She was fastidious and would always wipe her car down after returning to the garage. Even in the middle of the night.

Most of all…
She loved her family and loved her Lord and Savior.
She talked so much about being kind to others and doing whatever she could to help others.

She was not afraid of anything and would let you know it was because Jesus was with her at all times. She often would find dimes on the ground and professed it was “dimes from Billy” in heaven.
She kept a huge jar of them and would let her kids know when she found one.

After Billy passed, she moved to a 55+ community in Olathe.
There, she reinvented herself as an avid card and domino player. She spent most nights playing till sunrise.

She loved these times and the ladies she played with. It was a fun time for her. She always said her apartment was just a place for her to sleep, because she was always on the go.
In late 2021, Rose Mary survived a heart attack, hospital stay and rigorous rehab despite all the COVID confusion. As soon as humanly possible, she demanded to go home and get back to her full life.

And she did just that. At her first checkup, the doc said, “Rose Mary, you are a miracle.” Her determination to stay strong and independent kicked in once again. A miracle was an understatement. She was a loving, devoted, caring Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend.

She had an impact on each and everyone she met. She was fiery, feisty, optimistic and had a great sense of humor. She was a really great dancer and enjoyed singing.
She was always a class act with impeccable taste in hair, nails, jewelry and clothes. The “Imelda Marcos” of Turner.

Mom, go and be with Jesus and Dad and dance like no one is watching. We love and will miss you eternally.
”Bye for now”

She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters. She leaves behind her three children: Marty (Deb), Mitch (Lana), and Kim Boggs (Jamie).

Five Grandchildren: Ryley (Ryan), Abby (Jeff), Mollie (Will), Hannah Rose, and Stevie Jo.
Her Great Grandchildren, Peyton, Collins, Charlie, Hayden, Aubrey, Forest, Peyton and her “little gingerbread man” Jax.

The family requests that in honor or Rose Mary, that you do one act of kindness. Rose Mary would love that.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We are confident that Jim is home with the Lord now, with no more pain or sickness. In 1949, Jim was born in Port Townsend, Washington to Judson and Darlene Lepper. His father was in the Army and Jim spent his young years traveling with his family. They were stationed in Georgia, Missouri, Washington, Kansas, and twice in Germany at both Bad-Kitzingen and Stuttgart.

In 1958, Jim was featured on the cover of Life magazine with Elvis Presley. The Lepper family and Elvis were both traveling to Germany on the USS Randall when a photographer captured Elvis waving from the ship with a soldier holding up young Jim next to him.

Jim attended Ludwigsburg American High School while in Germany, and graduated from Waynesville Senior High in 1967. After high school, Jim followed his father and older brother, John Lepper, into the military where he served for six years in the Army National Guard beginning in 1968. A few years later, Jim married the love of his life, Linda Gomez in Kansas City, MO. Jim and Linda celebrated 50 years of marriage this year.

In May of 1972, Jim joined the KCMO Fire Department. He was with the department for 30 years as a Driver and then a Fire Captain. He had many great passions and supported many ministries through the years, especially City Union Mission, Pre-Born, and Operation Mobilization. He was a strong supporter of pro-life work and taught his children about the sanctity of life.
In 2019 Jim received a kidney transplant which was an answer to many years of prayer. In February, Jim was diagnosed with cancer and knew that his time on earth was short. God has been so good and gracious to us during all of this, and we are thankful for the extra time we had with him.

We know that everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And Jim believed in God's son, Jesus Christ for eternal Salvation and forgiveness of sins. We all have eternal souls and have the choice to be forever with God or forever separated from God. We are thankful that Jim has left behind a legacy for the Lord.

Jim and Linda were blessed with five children. Bonnie (Brian) Mentel, Kayah (Jeremy) Scofield, Shaylin Lepper, Dan (Laura) Clark, and Melanie (Kevin) Manning. He loved his children and their families more than anything else in the world. He was preceded in death by his third daughter, Shaylin, who died in a snowmobile accident on January 4, 2003, when she was 21. He delighted in his grandchildren: Ben, Beau, Josiah, Carter, Wesley, Brooks, Joey, Jack, Chase, and finally his granddaughter, Vanessa. He is also survived by his older brother, John (Dee Dee) Lepper, and his younger sister, Joanne (Doug) Turner and their families.

Jim had many passions and interests in his life. He loved to read and talk about the Bible, as well as pray with anyone who needed it. He volunteered with special-needs ministries and was involved with the Golden Retriever Club. He liked taking walks and chatting with neighbors, boat rides on the lake, and fishing with his grandsons and watching their sporting events. His favorite activity was always gathering together with his family. His goal was to get everyone to read one of the gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.

He was the building block of our family, a real-life hero, and a man of God. He traveled 72 times around the sun, and now he is with Christ for eternity.

Please join us in celebrating Jim’s life at Westbrooke Church, on Thursday, May 19 at 4:30 p.m.
9777 Antioch Rd, Overland Park, KS 66212. Casual Dress. Jim had a heart for spreading the Gospel, please consider making a donation to Missions at Lenexa Baptist Church or Westbrooke Church.

Recently Michael had met a wonderful young lady named Ivory Derr and had just proposed marriage to her.

The one love that was always a constant in Michael's life was his dog, Jade. There wasn't a moment that she was not by his side. She will forever be "his girl."

Michael enjoyed gaming with his brothers and close friends, spending time with Jade, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, music, and being in nature. He was always patriotic and loved some good sports and political banter. Michael was a huge Chiefs fan and would proudly sport his Chiefs gear and anything red, white, and blue.

Sadly, Michael's life was cut short. He would have hated the idea of having a funeral, so we will be holding a Celebration of his Life:

Dorothy L. Witham, 79, of Kansas City, Kansas softly slipped her mortal bonds in the evening of May 2nd, 2022. Dorothy was the youngest of four and the last surviving child of DL and Juna Arnold. She was born in Hope, Arkansas December 1942 to a share-cropping family which eventually moved to the Kansas City area in 1958. Her first summer job was at the age of 16 as an elevator operator for the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dorothy graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1960, married and had the first of five children by age 20. She always enjoyed working with numbers naturally gravitating towards work in various office clerk and accounting settings. While single handedly raising those five kids and attending night classes, she was able to earn her certificate of bookkeeping from Rockhurst College. Her work knowledge and experience grew doing accounts payable for a bulk materials supplier and then becoming a one person office for a start up trucking company. Eventually she was hired on with Sprint Corp, becoming a key member of the asset management department. Retiring at 67 she enjoyed travelling, reading, and crochet. She was enamored with “antiquing” and avidly collected glass, in both tableware and art forms.

With her passing she is now reunited with her parents, her brother David (Bud) Arnold, sisters Mary and Margaret Bryant, son Edward Moore and husband James Witham. It must also be noted that she is also once again enjoying the company of her two dogs, Patches (Dalmatian) and Heidi (Schnoodle) . Both of which were generally acknowledged as her “favorite” children.
Dorothy leaves behind four surviving children Donna Preston of Osawatomie, Kansas, Christopher Moore, of Kansas City, Missouri, Michael Moore of Edwardsville, Kansas, and Rebecca Kuder of LaCygne, Kansas. Eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life is being held at one of her favorite places, the natural beauty of Wyandotte County Lake, on Sunday, May 15th, 2022 from 2pm – 5pm at shelter #1. All are welcome to attend.

Being a mother is easy, but being a mom requires incredible strength, patience and unwavering love. Mom, you had all of that and much, much more. We will always love you.
