Harold "Michael" House of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Saturday May 26th after a lengthy illness due to surgery.
Michael was born to Harold and Shirley House on April 20, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a 1968 graduate of Shawnee Mission North. After high school he worked 39 years as a forklift operator at Kansas City Concrete and Pipe. After retirement he worked for Renzenberger Inc. as a shuttle driver. Michael had a heart of gold and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Sain-House of Kansas City, Kansas, 3 children Debra O'Neil and husband Daniel O'Neil of Overland Park, Kansas, Mike House and wife Jessica of Overland Park, Kansas, Steven House and partner Shelby Berry of Roeland Park, Kansas;
brother James House of Kansas City, Kansas, and sister Phyllis Fisette of Kansas City, Kansas.  Numerous nieces and nephews all of Kansas City Kansas; 
2 adopted children Sabrina Manning and Dylan Manning of Kansas City, Kansas; 1 step daughter Shannon Stancer and husband Joseph Stancer of Linn Valley, Kansas;
5 grandchildren Conner Corbin, Alexis, Julia, Thomas and Andrew House; 
5 step grandchildren Allison O'Neil, Jason O'Neil, Kayla Titus, Kyle Titus, and Kelsie Miller;
7 step great grandchildren Cannon and Chevy Miller, Kaedyn, Brielle and Korben Titus, Katherine Contreras and Storm Bellamy.
A celebration of life service will be held June 16th at Lenexa Senior Center 13425 Walnut St. Lenexa Kansas 66215 from 1-3 pm.

Myrtle F. Jones of Shawnee, KS passed away on May 8, 2018 at the age of 95. She was born on April 21, 1923 in Omaha, NE. The wife of an AME Zion minister, she spent many years as a resident of the cities in which her husband served as pastor. Widowed since 1996 she has dedicated her life most recently  to promoting the "Grace Gospel" as avid believer. Her internment will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048

Gone But Never Forgotten
Louis J Strain age 78 of Louisburg, KS passed away Wednesday May 2, 2018 at Truman Medical Center.
He was born January 13, 1940 in Louisburg, KS. The son of George William and Jane Faye Strain. Louie was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved going to Roaring River, going to Flea Markets with his wife Pat, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He loved his country and served with honor in the US Army and worked for Harlan Global for 41 years. 
He is proceeded in death by both his parents, 2 brothers, a sister, and his son Curtis Strain. 
He leaves behind 2 sons Paul Barnett and wife Ronnie of Louisburg, Shawn Barnett and wife Kathy of Drexel. Two daughters, Rhonda Powers of Paola and Vanessa Strain of Lane. His beloved wife of 45 years Pat Strain of the home. Twelve grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenneth "Ken" W. Sickman was born on September 23, 1962 passed away on May 4, 2018. He attended Pinson Valley High School in Pinson, Alabama. He is survived by daughter Lindsay N. Silvers and husband Ryan and two grandchildren, Adyn and Ava Silvers, his brother Kirk Gossage and wife Mary and niece Abby. Mother Gloria Smith of the home along with many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Ken was an avid sports fan and was an all-star basketball and baseball player in which he passed his legacy of sports to his daughter Lindsay. He loved cooking, working in the yard and truck driving by trade. Ken was preceded in death by his Father James Frances Sickman in 1966 and his Uncle Bill Sickman.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 9th at First Christian Church of Bonner Springs, 148 N Nettleton Ave, Bonner Springs, KS 66012. Visitation at 4:00 pm with service to follow at 5:00 pm.

Donna Jean Stevens Trevolt

Donna Jean Stevens Trevolt, born November 4, 1959.  Passed away April 22, 2018.

She leaves behind husband George R. Trevolt. Two children, daughter Karen Lynn Black Ahmad Chandry and her husband Ijaz Ahmad Chandry .  Son, David Lee Black, a step daughter Tracie C. Seifert and an ex-step grandson.  She loved a lot Isidro Roberto Meixuiero.

She died in Olathe, KS at the Olathe Hospice House and will be laid to rest at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS.  There will not be a funeral service at this time.  We will celebrate her life at a later date.

We love you and will miss you!

Because Someone we love is in Heaven.  There’s a little bit of Heaven in our home.

PABLITA BARRON SANCHEZ

Pablita Barron Sanchez 91, died peacefully on March 30, 2018 at 0lathe Hospice House. Pablita was born on March 5 1927 in Ottawa KS. The daughter of Eutimio Barron and Josefa Barron. On June 27, 1959 Pablita married the love of her life, Bernard Sanchez. They settled in and raised 4 children in Mission, Kansas.

Pablita is survived by four children: Monica, Tony(Penny), Mike, & Liz; three grandchildren: Jimmy, Danny, Brett(Stevens); two sisters Phyllis Garcia and Mary Barron and many more extended family.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Bernard Sanchez, her parents and 8 other siblings.

Funeral Mass, April 04, 2018 at St Pius X, 5500 Woodson, Mission, 10 am with visitation at 9 am and a rosary at 9:30 am. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.

The family suggest contributions be made to St. Pius Catholic Church in Mission KS

MARY E. DINNEEN

Mary E. Dinneen (Acosta) died peacefully in Kansas City, KS on Saturday December 2nd, 2017 at the age of 72.  Mary is survived by her husband Bob, sons Rob (wife Wendy), Darrik (wife Laura) and Jason (wife Julie), grandson Jacob, granddaughters Rylee, Tatum, and a new granddaughter in February 2018.  She will be placed to rest next to her parents in San Diego, CA In lieu of flowers donation to Kansas Health System.

Carolyn was born in Farlinville, KS to Grover and
Leda Masters. She attended school in Linn County, KS.
Carolyn excelled at bridge, golf and gardening and
was an avid KC Chiefs fan.

Preceding her in death were parents; brothers,
Clayton, Cecil & Glenn Masters; sisters, Vera O'Rourke,
Arlene Bryant & Donna Dedrick. Carolyn leaves 
behind her children Morgan Marshall Doran(Joe)
& Ed Marshall(Cindy); grandchildren Austin, Cayla,
Kelly & Kate; great grandchildren Abby & Dean;

Perry D. Selfridge Jr., Leawood, Kansas, died November 19, 2017. Perry was born March 20, 1945 in McMinnville, Oregon to Perry Sr. and Jean Selfridge

He attended public schools in Corvallis, Oregon – and was always proud to have been elected President of the Student Body of Highland View Junior High School. Graduated from Corvallis High School in 1962, a year ahead of his class, and attended Oregon State University.

Perry married Barbara Randolph Selfridge March 8, 1969 in Renton, Washington. While working for Household Finance in the state of Washington, he was promoted and moved to Dallas Texas in 1975. He worked as a general manIn loving memory of Perry-D.-Selfridge-Jrager for Treat America, and later, in Kansas City, was Vice President for Marketing and Sales for Business and Industry Health Group. He then worked as Account Executive for Clinical Reference Laboratory. He retired from CRL in 2011.

Perry and Barbara had two children: Kimberly Selfridge and Krista Selfridge Hoffman, and four grandchildren, Kimberly’s daughter Brooklyn, and Krista’s sons Joshua, Jacob, and Jesse. Brooklyn married Isaiah Mendell in 2015 and provided them with great grandson Noah Perry.

Perry was the oldest of six children, and besides his descendants he is also survived by brothers Dennis Selfridge and Stan Selfridge, and sisters Beverly Farnsworth, Georgia Edwards, and Pattye Stephens

Perry was involved in the Church of the Nativity in Leawood, Kansas, from its inception, for over 30 years. Some of his involvement included being a Eucharistic minister, lector, in the choir, RCIA Sponsor, a member of the Stewardship Committee, and in February 2009 joined Knights of Columbus, Council 11067.

Perry loved golf, his Kansas City Chiefs, the Oregon State Beavers, soccer, and immensely enjoyed any and all activities with his children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Perry requested donations be made to the JPK House of Love. Contributions are tax deductible when made out to the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, mentioning “Father Gilbert Aranha’s Charity“ in the memo section.
