Sherry Sue Jackson, 69, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Providence Medical Center.
She was born an June 5, 1952 to Melvin and Leland Taylor. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1970.
In April, 1971 she met her “Honey” Raymond Jackson while he was home on leave from the Navy. They were married on Sept. 5, 1975 and were married for 40 years until his passing in 2015. Three daughters, several animals, many vehicles and lots of memories were the result of their union.
She loved to bake, bowl, volunteer at school and church and was a very sassy lady. While she loved being a stay at home mom, sometimes she needed a break and went to work part time at Providence Medical Center as a CNA.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Leland Taylor, husband Raymond Jackson and grandson Danyael Drake. She is survived by daughters Kandice Jackson (David), Amanda McMaster (Phillip) and Erika Brim (Anthony), seven grandkids: Wraymond, Nicholas and Savannah McMaster, Erik, Taylor and Joseph Brim and Jordan Drake; one sister, Melva Stine and three brothers, Chris Taylor, Doug Taylor and Mike Beebe.
Services will be on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 2203 Parallel Ave, KCKS 66104. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. and Mass will start at 10:00 a.m. with graveside services to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 126th & Parallel Ave KCKS 66109.
Donations to the family to help with medical costs in lieu of flowers is appreciated but not necessary.

Jane Marie Hill

Jane Marie Hill, 56, of Olathe Kansas, passed away on March 16, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.

Jane was born in Spring Grove, Minnesota on April 22, 1965, to Cletus and Phyllis Schulte of rural Dorchester, Iowa. After Jane graduated from Waukon High School, she attended college in Kirksville, Missouri. She went on to study business and accounting at University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) where she earned her bachelor’s degree.
She worked at the U.S. General Services Administration in Kansas City, Missouri; St. Paul Catholic Church in Olathe, Kansas; and for the USDA in Kansas City, Missouri. She enjoyed working and made great friends during those years.
Jane married James Hill on January 16, 2021, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Olathe, Kansas.

She is survived by her husband James and her children, Patrick Hackathorn, Matthew Hackathorn, and Kathryn Hackathorn all of Olathe, Kansas. Also surviving are siblings Ann (Mike) Monnens of Brookings, South Dakota and Raphael Schulte of Taipei, Taiwan. Stepchildren Ryan Hill of Olathe, Kansas, Jenna (Victor) Wiesing of Overland Park, Kansas and Krista Hill of Greenwood, Missouri and granddaughters Ruby Wiesing and Hazel Wiesing.
She is also survived by brother in-law Jim Hennessy, sisters in-law Debbie Schulte and Diane Schulte along with numerous nieces and nephews and several aunts. She also leaves behind numerous friends and family from church, work and Waukon Iowa.

She is preceded in death by her parents Cletus and Phyllis Schulte, sister Margaret (Jim) Hennessy, brothers Michael (Diane) Schulte and Anthony (Debbie) Schulte.

Her contagious smile and laugh will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Jane liked to travel and loved to go thrift store and garage sale shopping. She could always find a great deal.

Visitation will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church, 21650 W 115th Terr, Olathe KS 66061 on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 9:00 am followed by Mass services at 10:00 am. Burial will follow services at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Road (Hwy 5), Leavenworth Kansas 66048 on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 12:30 pm.

David Lee Jackson

David 's Story
Begins August 22, 1946, born to Leroy & Anna Jackson. He was the youngest of 6 children. He graduated from North Carolina High and shortly after went to work as a craftsman apprentice at the navy shipyard in South Carolina.
He met the love of his life in 1967 at St. Francis Hospital where she worked. They tied the knot May 11, 1968. They settled in the quiet town of Grandview, Missouri. He began his career with the IBEW in 1968. David retired after 43 years as a foreman having the honors of assisting with his home team's baseball stadium upgrades. He loved to travel, playing golf, watching sports and spending time with his 5 great grandchildren.
His journey sadly came to an end February 28, 2022.
With heavy hearts he leaves behind his beloved wife; daughter; 2 granddaughters; 6 great grandchildren; his dear sister.
nieces and nephews.

PAUL VINCENT CUMMINGS

Paul Vincent Cummings passed away on Thursday, March 10, at KU Medical Center.
Paul was born in Valley Falls, KS to William and Mirva Cummings on June 10,1946. He married ]eanne Cohorst on September 20, 1969 in Marysville, KS.

Paul was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Assembly 2260, of the General Larry Oppenheimer Detachment 1025 Marine Corps League of Lenexa, KS, and of Olathe American Legion Post 153.
Paul is survived by his wife Jeanne of 52 years; three brothers Mike, Bill, and Steve; two sisters Barbara King and Marilyn Heimos; sisters-in-law Roberta Anthony, Rosemary Cohorst, Wanda Cummings, Hannelore Cummings and Dorothy Cummings; brothers-in-law Ralph Byrd, Ron VanBlaricon and George Heimos and numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Willliam and Mirva Cummings, parents-in-law Wilfred and Mary Cohorst; foster mother Beth O'Neill; sister Ann VanBlaricon; brothers David, Pat, Lawrence, Joe, and Kenny; sisters-in-law Karen Manson, Linda Roberts, and Sandra Byrd; and brothers-in-law Richard Anthony, Charles Roberts, Dean Manson, and Jerry Cohorst.

Services will be at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe, KS on Thursday, March 17. The rosary and visitation will be at 10 am followed by Mass at 11 am.
Memorial contributions can be given to any animal shelter or a favorite charity.

We wish to extend our sincere thanks to the VAD family of nurses and doctors and all the caring nurses and staff at KU Medical Center.

Sandra Marie Baker, 57, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away at 11:41 a.m., Saturday, March 5th, 2022 at North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born April 3rd, 1964 in Kansas City, Kansas, to James and Patricia Baker. She is survived by her two children, Jennifer Enloe of Liberty, Missouri and Nick Madden of Lee's Summit, Missouri and her 6 grandchildren, Alyssa, Carter, Avery, Addison, Cooper and Carson.  Also surviving are her mother Patricia Baker of Kansas City, Kansas and her three siblings, Glenn Baker of Overland Park, KS., Pamala Gibson of Overland Park, KS. and Jim Baker of Omaha, NE.

Her father, James, preceded her in death.

Sandy devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and always went above and beyond for those she loved. She will be deeply missed but her memory will forever live on in those who loved her.

Patricia Ann Bogart 72, of Leawood Kansas passed away February 27, 2022. She was born November 18th, 1949 in Ypsilanti, Michigan and the daughter of the late Kenneth and Geraldine Bowers. She was happily united in marriage to the late John Bogart, Jr. on January 24th, 1969 at the courthouse in Kansas City, Kansas and to this beautiful marriage two daughters and a son were born.

Pat graduated from Wyandotte Highschool in 1967. Pat started her career with Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator and worked her way up enjoying a long, wonderful career at AT&T and IBM with various Manager and Senior Project Manager positions. Pat was forever active in her children and grandchildren's lives. She headed up various committees throughout her children's school and activities - from dance teams to sports teams. She and John enjoyed being in bowling leagues, having parties with friends and traveling. Pat and John had an incredible love story adoring each other throughout all the ups and downs of life. Pat loved her family more than anything and always gave unconditional love to everyone around her. Some of her favorite time spent was cheering on and supporting her grandchildren in all of their adventures - softball, baseball, gymnastic meets and so much more! She was adored by all who knew her and will be forever missed.

She is survived by two daughters, and one son: Shawn Bargen (Greg) of Moscow Mills, MO, David Bogart (Genia) of West Des Moines, IA, and Shannon Mayhugh (Dwight) of Overland Park, KS; three brothers: Robert Bowers (Tina), Thomas Bowers, Bradley Bowers, and two sisters: Kathleen Zouk (Chip), and Brenda Wright (Holland); grandchildren: Alexander Bargen, Austin Bargen, Dylan Bogart, Sydney Bogart, Faith Mayhugh, Sophie Mayhugh, and Annabel Bogart; nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and two brothers, Brian and Barry Bowers.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, March 9th from 4-7pm at The Venue in Leawood, located at 4800 West 135th Street, Leawood, KS 66224.

Joseph Henry Papst, 96 of Shawnee, Kansas was called home to our Lord on March 4. He was born at home in Paola, Kansas to Ernest and Rose Papst. His family later moved to Wea, Kansas where he spent his childhood. He is preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Papst, his parents Ernest and Rose, his brother Clarence and sisters, Ella Marie, Irene and Mary Ellen.

He was in the Army Air Corp in WWII with the 316 th Bomber wing Squadron. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign medal, Good Conduct medal, WWII Victory medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. He was honorably discharged on August 31,1946. After returning from service, he met his bride JoAnn Kircher of Paola, Kansas and they were married for 51 years. They had four children Jan Murray (Bill), Joe Papst (Paula), Karen Corkill(Luke) and Theresa Bergeron (Wes) and eight grandchildren, Scott, Rachel, Drew, Nick, Ryan, Jared, Lynsey and Austin.

He was a lifetime Heavy Equipment Operator for Local 101. His life was shaped by his faith and love of the Lord. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He was known for his quick wit and humor, making people smile made his heart happy. He loved bowling and golf, he was an avid fan of the KU Jayhawks, the
KC Royals and Chiefs. He loved the outdoors and spent many years tending to his large garden, strawberry patch and fruit trees. He enjoyed cooking and was know for his chili, he always said, if it didn’t make his bald spot sweat, it wasn’t spicy enough!
Nothing made him happier than time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, Papa and a friend to all he met. He will be greatly missed by his friends and especially his loving family.

Services will be Friday March 11 th at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 12800 W.75 th St. Shawnee, Ks. The Rosary will be said at 9:00, followed by a visitation. Mass will be at 11:00. Internment at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.

Jeremy Stevens at age 50 passed on February 1, 2022 of Covid-19.

Survived by parents Jim and Shelley, Sister Carrie Dean and her husband Jason Dean, Brother David Stevens and his wife Heather Stevens, nephews Ryan Dean, Carson Dean, and Heath Stevens, nieces Ashley Dean, Olivia Stevens, and Sofie Stevens, uncles - Bob Stevens, Don Stevens, and John Swanson, aunts - Rhonda Gardner and Joni Ralph, Linda Stevens and Lee Smith - great uncles & aunts Carl and Joan Arnold and family, Sandra and Bob Gilpatrick and family and numerous cousins, and friends.

March 27, 2022 at Sheraton Convention Center in Overland Park, Ks. 6100 College Blvd. In Lieu of Flowers Donations to the American Red Cross or Disabled American Veterans in memory of Jeremy Stevens would be appreciated. Casual attire-Jeremy will truly be missed. We all love You.
