On Friday, November 15th, Guy D. Caster passed away peacefully, yet unexpectedly, at his home at the age of 64.

Guy was born on October 8th, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Richard “Bud” and Patricia Caster. He graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1973. He proudly joined the United States Air Force and served for four years stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. Guy spent many years working in concrete construction and was a very skilled equipment operator.

His passions were his hobbies. He spent many years working on drag racing crews for friends, owning his own dragster and a junior dragster. When he wasn’t racing, he loved to go hunting. He spent a lot of time out hunting with his beloved bird dogs. Many of his friendships were formed through these hobbies and he loved sharing those times with them.

Guy was hard working, kind, funny, loved to tell stories and wasn’t shy about sharing his opinions. He was a very loving, loyal friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents Richard “Bud” and Patricia Caster, and his grandparents Guy and Nancy Chamberlin. He is survived by his sister Cydney Caster-Riemer, step brother Steven B Caster, nieces: Pier Masterson, Caitlin Terry, Haleigh Solar and nephews: Steven Riemer Jr. and Eric Koop and many close friends who were like family.

Guy’s final resting place will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery. No services per his request.

Friends will be hosting an informal gathering as a celebration of Guy’s life on Sunday, December 15th from 12:00-2:00pm at the Grinter Hall, 1420 S. 78th Street, Kansas City, KS 66111.
