Tharon was born in Kansas City, KS on November 2, 1961 to Frances and Rodger Howard. He lived most of his life in Kansas City, KS and passed away at home on February 6, 2020 at the age of 58.

Tharon worked for the same company for nearly 40 years. In addition to having a full-time job, he had many side ventures that included butchering deer and hogs (Hoggin’ as he called it) and mowing lawns. He was a proud husband, dad and grandpa, as well as a true outdoorsman. He had many hobbies, but was happiest camping, fishing and hunting with his entire family. His other interests include riding Brutus (his Harley), riding wave runners, butchering, shooting his guns, fixing other people’s stuff, sending daily jokes, spending time at the lake and helping his family and friends with projects. Tharon had a passion for sharing his love and knowledge for hunting, fishing and butchering.

Tharon is preceded in death by his parents, Frances Applebee and Rodger Howard, a brother, Rodger Howard and two beloved chihuahuas, Gizmo and Margarita (Maggie).

Tharon is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kim and their children, Shawn (Krista), Joshua (Becky), Amanda and his cherished chihuahua, Remington. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Ethan, Courtney, Nathanial (Nate) and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his three sisters; Theresa (Ivan) Braley, Dina (Russell) Mayden, Amy (Justin) Hanson, three brothers; Tom (Linda) Howard, Rod (Sadie) Howard, and Cole (Rachel) Howard, one brother in law, Mike Burdge and a father in law, Jim Burdge. As well as, many nieces, nephews, great nephews (whom he had a soft spot for; Junior, Bentley and Remi) and many close family friends.

A celebration of Tharon’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 6pm to 8pm, at Kansas City Funeral Directors, 4880 Shawnee Drive Kansas City, KS 66106. This is a casual gathering. Please come as you are, or in anything Harley or camo.
