Dr. Mansour J. Naime died on Saturday, August 22. Naime, age 90 of Overland Park, died peacefully surrounded by his family. Mansour was born on September 22, 1929 in Choueifat, Lebanon to Latify and Jamil Naime. He is the youngest of six and is survived by his sister Adel
Naime. Mansour was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Patsy) Connor; brothers Anees, Khalil, and Munir; and sister Salwa. Mansour attended the American University of Beirut and graduated with an Honors Doctorate Degree. He graduated in 1953 and moved to Kansas to complete his residency at Children’s Mercy, specializing in Pediatrics. After completing his residency, he began his Pediatrics career at General Hospital. While at General, he met the love
of his life Patsy Connor who worked at the hospital as a social worker. They married on August 17, 1957 and were married for 59 years.

Mansour was a loving husband and father and is survived by his three children; Patrick Naime (Janet), Overland Park, KS; Michael Naime (Elsbeth), Colorado Springs, CO; and Mary (Molly) Dye (Gary), Overland Park, KS; and four grandchildren Lisa Naime, Scott Naime, Kendra Gonzalez, Mathew Dye, and one great-grandchild Isabelle Gonzalez.

Dr. Naime was a caring and giving person who knew no strangers. He was a dedicated doctor known in his office for his enormous and cheerful smile and for his silly nicknames. Throughout their lives, Mansour and Patsy instituted an open-door policy on both Sunday nights and holidays with extended family – they were happiest when surrounded by family. Later in life, Mansour loved spending time at their second home in Naples, Florida and enjoyed the golf course and gin
rummy. His continuous love of family gatherings will be missed.
