Jonnie L. Hanson, 68, passed away October 16, 2020 at his home in Kansas City, Kansas. At his request no service will be held, but instead we will have a small gathering at his home. Please contact his wife, Michelle, for additional information.

Jonnie was born July 22, 1952 in Hood River County, Oregon to Lynn and Gladys Hanson. He enjoyed telling stories of the days he worked with his sister, Judy and her husband, Bill at their Bee farm. Jonnie also enjoyed hunting deer, elk, bear, and pheasants. He belonged to a western reenactment family known as the Cripple Creek Posse in which his name was Cody. In some of those reenactments he was shot off a building at Old Shawnee Town several years ago.

Jonnie served the United States Navy during Vietnam as a Radioman. He was active duty for four out of his six years. Later he worked many years for Flint and Nazdar as a lab technician.

Jonnie is survived by his wife, Michele Hanson; siblings: Judy Kindall(Bill) & Brenda Hatcher(Mark); children: Jessica Mashburn(Aaron), Abby Hensley(Taylor), & Travis Hanson(Sarah); nine grandchildren; and three step children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn & Gladys Hanson; and two brothers, David & Kevin Hanson.
