Roger Lee Dillon, 54, of Kansas City, KS passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2021.

He graduated from Piper High School in 1985. Roger grew up on construction sites and worked alongside his father and grandfather building homes, duplexes, etc. Later, the family business changed to Dillon Material Company and he continued to work with his father and grandfather repairing tools, compressors and anything else with a small motor. After his grandfather and father passed on, Roger and his wife, Lisa, took over the family business. Roger loved working with his hands and talking to customers. Many of them became like family to him over the years. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and watching old westerns, especially John Wayne movies.

Roger was a member of the Rose of Sharon Pentecostal Church of God. He was a friend to all who met him. He had a big heart and loved helping others, including working in the Outreach Ministry picking up the men from City Union Mission and driving them to church for over a year.

Roger was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray F Dillon and Lydia Dillon, his mother and father, R. F. Dillon, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, son, Michael Dillon, three step-children whom he considered to be his own kids, Amy Axell and husband Jeff, Emily Yoder and Matthew Yoder and two grandchildren, Tristan Yoder and Ridley Axell, as well as several aunts, cousins and many friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
