Jane Marie Hill, 56, of Olathe Kansas, passed away on March 16, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.

Jane was born in Spring Grove, Minnesota on April 22, 1965, to Cletus and Phyllis Schulte of rural Dorchester, Iowa. After Jane graduated from Waukon High School, she attended college in Kirksville, Missouri. She went on to study business and accounting at University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) where she earned her bachelor’s degree.
She worked at the U.S. General Services Administration in Kansas City, Missouri; St. Paul Catholic Church in Olathe, Kansas; and for the USDA in Kansas City, Missouri. She enjoyed working and made great friends during those years.
Jane married James Hill on January 16, 2021, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Olathe, Kansas.

She is survived by her husband James and her children, Patrick Hackathorn, Matthew Hackathorn, and Kathryn Hackathorn all of Olathe, Kansas. Also surviving are siblings Ann (Mike) Monnens of Brookings, South Dakota and Raphael Schulte of Taipei, Taiwan. Stepchildren Ryan Hill of Olathe, Kansas, Jenna (Victor) Wiesing of Overland Park, Kansas and Krista Hill of Greenwood, Missouri and granddaughters Ruby Wiesing and Hazel Wiesing.
She is also survived by brother in-law Jim Hennessy, sisters in-law Debbie Schulte and Diane Schulte along with numerous nieces and nephews and several aunts. She also leaves behind numerous friends and family from church, work and Waukon Iowa.

She is preceded in death by her parents Cletus and Phyllis Schulte, sister Margaret (Jim) Hennessy, brothers Michael (Diane) Schulte and Anthony (Debbie) Schulte.

Her contagious smile and laugh will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Jane liked to travel and loved to go thrift store and garage sale shopping. She could always find a great deal.

Visitation will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church, 21650 W 115th Terr, Olathe KS 66061 on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 9:00 am followed by Mass services at 10:00 am. Burial will follow services at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Road (Hwy 5), Leavenworth Kansas 66048 on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 12:30 pm.
