Michael Vaughn Floersch, 28, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away on April 25, 2022, in his apartment in Olathe, Kansas.

On March 21, 1994, Michael was born to James and Sandy Floersch of Eudora, Kansas. He attended grade school up to the 6th grade in Baldwin City. The family later moved to Osawatomie, Kansas, where he was a student at the Junior High School until he sustained a traumatic knee injury. Michael completed junior high and high school through the K-12 Kansas online education program.  After graduation, he attended Johnson County Community College and earned a certificate in Welding.  Michael worked many jobs, but he recently worked for the Paola school district, Lake Mary, and Fire Door Solutions.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandmother Ruby Lavon Sims, his father James (Jim) Floersch, grandfather Matt Floersch, step-grandfather Don Toothman, stepsister Sabrina Wrisinger, grandmother Jean Floersch, infant brother Matthew Floersch, and great grandparents Emmet and Mary McGrath.

Michael is survived by his mother, Sandy Toothman; step-father Ron Toothman; two sisters: Angela Smith and Jennifer Floersch; three brothers: Nathan Floersch, Robert Floersch, and James Floersch; two nephews; Clay Smith and Mason Floersch; one niece: Samantha Floersch; uncles: Robert Sims and Matt Floersch; aunts: Bernice Altenhofen, Francie Falk, Jeanie Frank, and Janice McPherson; cousins: Tony Altenhofen, Lisa Fewins, Jason Altenhofen, Josh Falk, Jeffery Falk, Steven Falk, Julie Floersch, Emily Frank, Ann Marie McPherson, Matthew McPherson, Gilbert McPherson, Margaret McPherson, John Paul McPherson, and Michael McPherson; step-grandmother: Roberta Toothman; and step-sisters: Angel Anderson, Stephanie Annis, and Wendy Wrisinger.

Michael had a lifelong bond with his friends Ben Cole, Austin Cregg, Eli Buckley, Chris Jones, and Kacy Gonzales.  Pat Sloan and Patsy Cole were like second parents to Michael, and he loved them dearly. Recently Michael had met a wonderful young lady named Ivory Derr and had just proposed marriage to her.

The one love that was always a constant in Michael's life was his dog, Jade. There wasn't a moment that she was not by his side. She will forever be "his girl."

Michael enjoyed gaming with his brothers and close friends, spending time with Jade, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, music, and being in nature. He was always patriotic and loved some good sports and political banter. Michael was a huge Chiefs fan and would proudly sport his Chiefs gear and anything red, white, and blue.

Sadly, Michael's life was cut short. He would have hated the idea of having a funeral, so we will be holding a Celebration of his Life:
