James Anthony “Tony” Penner, born 1960 in Kansas City Kansas, passed on May 8th. He was at home and surrounded by family.

Tony spent 28 years working for Johnson Construction company setting and maintaining telephone poles and cables. Tony enjoyed fishing and some of his prize catches still hang on the wall. He was an avid NASCAR fan and spent many Sunday afternoons watching races on TV and barbequing or smoking a brisket for dinner. He loved to laugh and enjoy life, often quoting some of his favorite Saturday Night Live skits. His family remembers him as a jack of all trades. Tony could build or fix anything you needed. He was a family man who loved and was immensely proud of his wife, children and grandchildren. His daughters have fond memories of Tony teaching them; and later their children, how to shoot a BB gun. He was generous with his love and affection.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents Ernst and Shirley Penner of Newton, KS. Tony is survived by his wife Tammy; three daughters and sons in law, Nicole and Bryce Alderson, Danielle and Brady Schleicher, and Baylee and Jayson Dunn. As well as eight grandchildren; Lillian, Madilyn, Landon, Mason, Cortland, Everly, Asher and Jameson.
