Margaret Louise Watson

In loving memory of Margaret Louise Watson, 78, a Kansas City Kansas resident who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday October 9th, 2018 at 6:23 a.m.. She was born to the late Grover Daniels, and Ezell Daniels on September 11th, 1940 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

Margaret was a loving devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a mother figure and pillar to many others.
A homemaker and extraordinary cook, who loved to prepare meals for her family and friends, especially during the holiday seasons. She had a passion for baking and loved to sit back and watch everyone enjoy her creations. It always brought a smile to her face and warmth to her heart.
Margaret is survived by her caring husband Ronald L. Watson, her 3 sons, Timothy Davis, Desi L. Sanders, and Shelly J. Sanders, 2 daughters-in-law Marcia M. Sanders, and Angela Pacheco, 4 Brothers, Robert Daniels, William Daniels, Edward Daniels, Larry Daniels, as well as 12 grandchildren, (oldest to youngest) Justin Davis, Jennifer Davis, Joshua Davis, Theodore Davis, Levi Davis, Nicia Hoskins, Kyle Sanders, Dean Meredith, Victoria Sanders, Julian Pachecco, Alexis Sanders, and Shelly J. Sanders Jr., and 1 great grandchild, Adeanna Davis.

The family has made private funeral arrangements. A post cremation memorial service will be held for family and friends at a later date

Carrie Kathleen Moore

Carrie Kathleen Moore, 53, of Tonganoxie, Kansas, formerly of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on September 9, 2018 at Providence Medical Center. Private family services.

Carrie graduated from Turner High School in 1983 and worked for Citibank for several years before becoming disabled. She loved her family, God, and animals.

Carrie is survived by husband, Martin Porting of the home; daughter, Carrisa Winslow of Shawnee, KS; daughter, Candance Moore of Kansas City, MO; and sister, Joy Houser, of Wichita, KS.

Carrie will always be missed but never forgotten.

LESTER DARWIN GODWIN

Lester Darwin Godwin, born 1943, Red Oak, Iowa, passed on to a better life this past Tuesday afternoon while at home in a Hospice bed, while his wife, Phillis Van (Carlton) Godwin watched over him. His was a long struggle with dementia. He temporarily departs his aforementioned wife Phillis, and two sons, Mike and Kerry, along with their wives, Andrea and Denise. He has two fine grandchildren that share his name, Gage and Addison Godwin. He will be missed until the promised family reunion. Instead of pain and confusion, his days are now peace and wonder. 
Visitation will be this Friday, the 21st, at 5 pm. Location, Kansas City Funeral Directors, 4880, Shawnee Drive, Kansas City, KS 66106, with funeral services following 6 pm. Burial will be the following morning, Saturday the 22nd, 10 am. Location, Maple Hill Cemetery, 2301 South 34th St. Kansas City, KS 66106.

Ruth Jeanette Groman

On Saturday, September 8, 2018, RUTH JEANETTE GROMAN (WOLFE), 77, peacefully went home to be with the lord. Prissy, Prissy Jane, or Cissi as many of us knew her was born in Ellinwood, Kansas on September 26, 1940, the first daughter of Doris Wm. and Elsie Mae Wolfe. She is preceded in death by both parents and 3 brothers, Larry Joe Wolfe, Stephen Wolfe and Glen Wolfe (All of Oklahoma). She is survived by her 2 children, Terri Wendt and Craig Packer (Michelle), numerous brothers and one sister, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm with Funeral Service at 2 pm, Saturday, September 15 at Calvary Chapel, 2614 S. 18th, Kansas City, KS 66106.

Ronald James Newman, 78, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 4, 2018 surrounded by family.

Ron was born September 12, 1939 in Kenosha, Wisconsin where he spent his childhood, graduating high school and then attending Milwaukee School of Engineering. After moving to the Kansas City area, he met Susan McAuliffe and on July 17, 1982, they married. In 1985, they welcomed into their home a daughter, Meghan Elisabeth, and a son, Matthew Adam, in 1988.

Ronald spent much of his career as a system programmer working for Tension Envelope, National Envelope, Hewlett Packard and Oriental Trading. He was also actively involved volunteering with the IBM User Group, COMMON, and the RPG & DB2 Summit.

He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and boating.

We will remember him as a kind, caring man who would do anything to take care of his family. He will be missed more than he could imagine.

Services will be held Saturday, August 11th at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W. 143rd St., Olathe, Kansas 66062. Visitation will be at 11 AM with funeral mass to follow at noon. Lunch will be provided in the church hall after mass. Internment will be at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the American Liver Foundation, https://liverfoundation.org.

Preceded in death by parents Bevel & Gladys Sampson. Survived by many family & friends. She was a happy person & lived a happy life. She loved and cared for people. Sammy will be greatly missed. ROSEMARY "ROSIE" (VERSTRAETE) VOSS

Rosemary ‘Rosie’ (Verstraete) Voss, 71, of Lenexa, KS passed away with family by her side at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, June 20, 2018.
Rosie was born September 23, 1946 to the late Mage and Lillian.

Rosie was preceded in death by her loving husband Fred Voss of 36 years. Rosie was a graduate of Bishop Miege High School, she retired from Encompass in Overland Park, KS as a
medical billing Manager. Rosie was a faithful and active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, watching movies, and baking. She loved spending time with her sisters Agnes, Mary, and Helen, her son Jeff and her two grandchildren Justin and Brandon, as well as her very close friends who were family to her.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Sweeny, daughter in-law Laurie, and their two sons (Justin and Brandon Sweeny);
3 siblings, Agnus Veal, Mary Hackelman, and Helen Henry. Rosie was preceded in death by her two siblings, John and Michael Verstraete.

Funeral Services will be held graveside at Resurrection Cemetery on June 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM.

GLENDA JO CAMPBELL

Glenda Jo Campbell walked on July 13, 2018 in Kansas City, KS. She was born to Margie (Belk) and Glenn Campbell on October 8, 1953 in Hiawatha, KS, near her tribe's reservation. She lived all of her over 64 years in K.C., KS, in the Rosedale and Argentine communities.

She is survived by her daughters, Aimee Rae Kraus (the late Scott), Manhattan, KS and Jill McLain Medina (Bill
Custer) of K.C., KS. Grandchildren; Josephine Medina, Jessica Custer Judd and William Custer III & great-grandson, Jaden Kirkland, all of K.C., KS. She is also survived by her late father's wife, Carol (Foley) Campbell (her "other mother") of Lenexa, KS. Siblings by marriage, Bernadette (Ed) Garven, Jon Martinac, Jay Martinac, Jennifer (Ken) Brancacio, and nieces & nephews by
marriage. Her best friend and chosen sister of 43 years, Karen A. Bailey, Ft. Smith, AR, her son Wayne Bailey and family of Baltimore, MD. Ed (Linda) McLain, friend, ex-husband and co- parent of their daughters, K.C., KS. Without siblings, cousins were very important to her, whether they were 1st cousins or distant, she loved them.

Glenda was an enrolled member of her tribe, loway Tribe of KS and NE. She danced in their annual pow-wow, helped with fundraisers and was honored to be asked to serve as Head-lady Dancer, 1997. As a member of Rainbow Mennonite since age 11 she served as church secretary, Deacon, Chairperson, Secretary & Member at Large of Church Council and various committees. Some volunteer opportunities where she felt most useful were organizing the opening celebration of The Whitmore Playground, Children's Common Ground daycare, The Open Market (co-op grocery store), Team Ministries, Vacation Bible School, Easter Egg Hunts, serving at various food kitchens and public speaking for numerous fundraisers. She loved working/teaching at Rocky Mountain Menn. Camp in the Colorado Rockies. She greatly enjoyed working with disabled adults at her job with Goodwill Industries workshop. She also served on Cross-Lines board of
directors as chairperson, primarily helping in the food pantry, managed by Rainbow. She enjoyed volunteering at her kids' schools as High School PTA President & Vice-Chair, Band Booster Club & coordinator for the football concession stand, proceeds raised were for PTA Scholarships.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 4pm, visitation at
3pm at Rainbow Mennonite Church, 1444 SW Blvd, K.C., KS 66103. Her remains will be scattered & buried at Partlow Cemetery, loway Reservation, White Cloud, KS, in September. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Whitmore Playground (to the church), which serves The Rosedale Community, Cross-Lines Community Outreach, 736 Shawnee Ave, K.C., KS 66105
or Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, for loway Tribe children.

An angel was sent to watch over the Galvan family on September 03, 1972, his name was Raimundo Galvan(Little Rai). He lived with cerebral palsy and completed his mission in

Shawnee, KS on June 7, 2018. He will now be able to run, jump and of course, indulge in his favorite foods of ice cream and french fries. Survived by parents,
