Tharon was born in Kansas City, KS on November 2, 1961 to Frances and Rodger Howard. He lived most of his life in Kansas City, KS and passed away at home on February 6, 2020 at the age of 58.
Tharon worked for the same company for nearly 40 years. In addition to having a full-time job, he had many side ventures that included butchering deer and hogs (Hoggin’ as he called it) and mowing lawns. He was a proud husband, dad and grandpa, as well as a true outdoorsman. He had many hobbies, but was happiest camping, fishing and hunting with his entire family. His other interests include riding Brutus (his Harley), riding wave runners, butchering, shooting his guns, fixing other people’s stuff, sending daily jokes, spending time at the lake and helping his family and friends with projects. Tharon had a passion for sharing his love and knowledge for hunting, fishing and butchering.
Tharon is preceded in death by his parents, Frances Applebee and Rodger Howard, a brother, Rodger Howard and two beloved chihuahuas, Gizmo and Margarita (Maggie).
Tharon is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kim and their children, Shawn (Krista), Joshua (Becky), Amanda and his cherished chihuahua, Remington. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Ethan, Courtney, Nathanial (Nate) and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his three sisters; Theresa (Ivan) Braley, Dina (Russell) Mayden, Amy (Justin) Hanson, three brothers; Tom (Linda) Howard, Rod (Sadie) Howard, and Cole (Rachel) Howard, one brother in law, Mike Burdge and a father in law, Jim Burdge. As well as, many nieces, nephews, great nephews (whom he had a soft spot for; Junior, Bentley and Remi) and many close family friends.
A celebration of Tharon’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 6pm to 8pm, at Kansas City Funeral Directors, 4880 Shawnee Drive Kansas City, KS 66106. This is a casual gathering. Please come as you are, or in anything Harley or camo.

Jou Chue Her

Jou Chue Her was born June 6th, 1944 to Chai Sue and Sheng Yang Her in the village of Haib Poom, XiengKhoung Province, Laos. He joined the CIA Special Guerilla Unit in 1961 and served this unit from 1962-1966. In 1967 he was hired to work for USAID as a warehouse manager, where he served for 8 years until the Secret War/Vietnam War forced him and his family to seek asylum in America as Hmong refugees.
In 1976, he arrived in Houston, TX with his family and began the challenging task of rebuilding a new life in a new country. In Houston, Jou Chue worked as a mail clerk and began correspondence seeking his extended family. In 1980, he moved his family to Wausau, WI to be with his brother Bla Chong Her and his nephew Cher Tou Her. While in Wausau, he overcame many obstacles in creating a safe and stable community for his family and many Hmong relatives. He eventually founded and became the first executive director of the Wausau Area Hmong Mutual Association, a non-profit charitable organization focused on assisting and resettling Hmong refugees in Wausau and surrounding areas. Jou Chue was also a devoted Christian and worked tirelessly in establishing the first Hmong CMA Church in Wausau. He later became a visionary leader that brought to fruition the construction of a new church building that provided support and services to a growing Hmong CMA congregation in Wausau.
In 1990, he retired from his job and relocated to Kansas City, KS to be closer to family. In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, serving God through his church, and spending quality time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Jou Chue was a man that had enormous love for others and prided himself on opening his heart and home to anyone that needed rest, respite, and/or support. His generosity and love are forever etched in the hearts of all those who knew him and was touched by him.
Jou Chue Her is preceded in death by his parents, Chai Sue and Sheng Yang Her, his brothers; Bla Chong Her, Vang Her, and Cu Her and his sisters Bla Her Yang and Yer Her Yang. He is also preceded in death by his nephew Cher Tou Her and his nieces Pla Her Thao and Ploua Her Xiong.
He is survived by his life-long wife and loving soul mate, Ka Yang Her, brother Nhia Yer Her, sister Cha Her Yang, three sons Num Pao (Gei Gei) Her, Nkag Fu (Blia) Her, Peter (Bai) Kim, his daughter Pafoua (Fim Long) Vue, and 14 grandchildren.
His Homecoming Celebration will be held at Faith Deliverance Church, 3043 State Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas on February 29th-March 1st with burial taking place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 8321 Quivira Road, Lenexa, KS.
Choua Xiong Her

Choua Xiong Her, our beloved mother, was born on March 12, 1953 in Laos. She married her husband Jim Her in July 1967. In 1976, during the Vietnam War, Choua’s family immigrated to the United States. Choua’s family initially settled and lived in Louisville, Kentucky from 1976-1978. Choua has lived in other states during her lifetime which include Houston, Texas (1978-1979), Kansas City, Kansas (1979-2002), and Woodbury, MN (2002-2020). Choua passed away
peacefully on the evening of January 5, 2020. Choua is survived by her husband Jim Her, son Vang Her, daughter in law Shoua Her, son Nick Her, daughter in law Jenny Lee, daughter Maysy Her, son Cher Morgan Her, daughter in law Xeng Her, son Tommy Tseeb Her, 24 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are as follows and will be held at Faith Deliverance Family Worship Center, 3043 State Ave, Kansas City, Kansas 66106.

Ray Earl Robinson
Ray Earl Robinson, 74 years old, of Shawnee, KS passed away January 13, 2020 at Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Residential Center. He has gone to heaven to be with his parents Ruth and Bob, great grand-daughter Emma Rose, two sisters Ruby and Betty, and many other family members.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Rosemary Robinson, daughter Michele Hanson, son Darrin Robinson, brother Bob Robinson, grandchildren Sarah, Jenny, Trevor, Katelyn, Hailey, and great grandchildren Angel, Sara, Miyah, Marcus and Makinlee.
He loved his family & friends, and his dogs, especially his basset hounds (Daisy 1 & Daisy 2), and enjoyed playing golf. He worked hard all of his life, from his first job as a dockworker loading trucks at TG&Y, to his last job owning a vehicle recovery business. He offered help to anyone who asked, even opening his home to anyone who needed a place to stay, and he never asked for anything in return.
A celebration get-together will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020, from 1:00-3:00, at Crossroads Christian Church, 5855 Renner Road, Shawnee KS 66217.

Virginia Poje Province passes away on December 20, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society Olathe nursing home at the age of 101.
Virginia was born on October 10, 1918, in Maryville, Missouri. The daughter of Alice and Joe Robertson of Graham, Missouri. She graduated from Graham High School in 1936 and later graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
Virginia’s first teaching experience was a Shiloh Country School, a one room school house located near Mound City, Missouri. Her career also included teaching kindergarten for eight years at Bethel Elementary in Kansas City, Kansas; four years in Oak Lawn, Illinois and seven years in Topeka, Kansas.
Virginia moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1944 and worked for Mid-Continent Airlines for two years. She met and married Edward Poje in 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1961. She married Samuel Province in 1984 and he preceded her in death in 1989.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Edward J. Poje of Springfield, Illinois and her daughter, Vivian White of O.P., Kansas. Virginia has surviving grandchildren; Caroline Massey of O.P. and Ryan Crosby of Leawood, Kansas, and for great grandchildren, Tyler and Alyson Massey and Cayden and Landon Crosby.
Graveside services will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1150 N. 38th St, Kansas City, KS 66102 on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 11 am.
